About the Seminar
Classes are limited to 15 carvers per instructor.
Indoor Heated/Air Conditioned Facility
Instruction on tool sharpening and the painting of carvings is provided.
Classes are designed for beginners, as well as the more experienced.
Woodcarving supplies will be available for purchase. Blanks - Tools -Wood - Books -Etc.
The Rendezvous pig roast and "check-in" will enable carvers to meet the staff and classmates prior to classes. Door prizes will be given away.

Dear Woodcarver,
The 9th annual Fall Woodcarving Rendezvous II has been scheduled for October 19th through October 23rd, 2008 Rendezvous II will be a four-day woodcarving seminar designed for beginners as well as the more experienced . Classes will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday (with an hour off for lunch) in the Convention Center of Compton Ridge Campground. Traditional after-hours carving projects will be available to all carvers that want to participate. The carving area will be locked up so that tools and equipment may be left overnight.
A special emphasis will be placed on Christmas as well as general woodcarving projects.
A Rendezvous II Pig Roast is scheduled for Sunday evening (Oct. 19th) on a pay basis at approximately $10.50 per person including tax. "Check-In" (starts 4:30 p.m.) and the Pig Roast will allow carvers to meet old and new friends, view the carving areas, and be eligible to win a door prize including carvings carved by the Instructors. Notification of "Check-In" and a Schedule of Events will be mailed about 2 weeks prior to the Seminar.
Rendezvous II is located in the scenic resort town of Branson, Missouri in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Non-carvers will have optional craft activities and will be able to Christmas shop at the many stores in the area. Also, most of Branson's Christmas shows will begin at the end of the week...(a few will begin at the start of the week).
The cost of the seminar is $150.00. A minimum of $75.00 (non-refundable) is required to make a reservation. The remaining $75.00 (non refundable) is due by August 1, 2008.
The Compton Ridge Campground and Motel/Lodge are recommended for those attending the seminar.
